A Motor Trend reader has caught the new Saab 9-5 high altitude testing in Mount Evans, Colorado.
No doubt you've already seen our spyshots of the anticipated vehicle, not to mention the supposedly real images leaked by Saabs United. What these photos show is a car that's likely much closer to development completion. If the 9-5 becomes a hit it could be a huge win for boutique supercar maker Koenigsegg, who is in the process of acquiring the fellow Swedish automaker from GM.
Unlike the Audi A8-like wheels on the leaked image, the wheels on these testers are smaller than the Audi A8-like wheels on the leaked images and, as a result, more likely to represent the 9-5s you'll see rolling on the streets after its expected debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
